Nautilus

Today I peddled my wares around to stores downtown. I talked to Chloe at Reading Frenzy, who was a bit glum about the state of things. I met up with my friend Allison, who made this really amazing stuffed nautilus for the baby:

We also commiserated over the economy, and jobs. And we discovered a new gallery, which is somewhat encouraging considering all the other galleries closing up shop. These are strange times.

Dump Score!

The all new Love Diary! Sadly, the rockin guitar chick on the cover is no where to be found inside the pages. There's no artist credit within the publication but some say on the internets it's the work of Art Cappello. Tales of love, smooching on beaches, nails to be done, neat and tidy endings with marriage proposals. Swoon.

Also strange advertisements, like this coupon for FIVE TOWELS....

Old and New

Today I was going through some old prints in a box and I uncovered several linocuts I must have printed several years ago. The image is from a Japanese cancellation stamp that I carved into linoleum and printed in blue and lime green.

I added some copper flowers to the side and listed this on Etsy.

I'm really looking forward to printing with presses and solvents again. Just five more weeks of taking care of myself and sharing my belly with my little friend.
